Duo-wizzards,

Thanks! Cleaning -what a novel idea. Never thought I could dismantle
that track-ball but then it did come lose. (C-clockwise, I'll remember
that.) It works fine now.

The batter has never worked, but those copper leads look pretty good.
They're all *pretty well* lined up, so it's probably the battery. One
message mentioned cracking the battery case and putting in new ones. This
sounds kind of fun --and now that I'm mechanically APT... Am I going to
find reg. recharchable AA batteries inside? Does anyone know where I
might be able to get an owner's manual for this machine? I've heard that
the batteries were always a problem for this model and that you only get
2-3 hours of life. Any chance of getting something to recharge a battery
that handles 220 voltage (India).

best,
Tim
