So, if elevating the Duo helps keep it cool, then why remove the feet from the
PowerBooks with more powerful chips (i.e. the 2400, 1400,G3) that have an even
greater need for cooling? I'm not sure I buy it.

BTW, I've never had any problems with my Duos sliding around in the rear. The
nubs are sufficient without the feet. In fact, that's exactly how I came to
have my feet broken off -- the front of the Duo slides around a bit because it
has hard plastic tips and the stress on the flip down feet is too much. So, I
added my own plastic nubs to the front, but that prevented it from docking
easily, particularly with the MiniDock.
