Regarding the 2400 battery issue, I had mine refurbished by Digital
House, and it did not work -- despite following the sage advice of the
list, I'm still not sure if it is the battery or the power manager (I
have tried to reset it a number of times). I'm also not sure whether it
is the PRAM battery (anybody know where to get one of those?).
Please sign me up for the list of people who want a really new 2400c
battery.
Regarding the PRAM battery question, my date does go off-kilter when the
machine is unplugged, but not when it is shut down and plugged in. Does
that sound like a bad PRAM battery?
