You need a driver for the Asante ethernet card. Asante maintains a list of
drivers here:

http://www.asante.com/support/s_c1.html

Once installed (just download, double-click, and read the README file),
everything should be straightforward.

Hope this helps,

Subject: [Duo] DUO 230 and ethernet woes

Hello.

I am new to this list and hope that if this topic has
been covered, you will excuse me, and/or point me in
the direction to learn of a solution.

I have a DUO 230, with DUO Dock (I). I recently
installed a MacCon Asante ethernet card (thin, thick,
and RJ-45 all in one card). I am attempting to connect
the DUO, via ethernet to my B&W G3 tower with an RJ-45
ethernet cross cable. I know that the cable is good,
as I have two other legacy Macs (PB 520c and Performa
475) that are able to connect to the G3 without
problems. I am able to connect the DUO to the two
legacy Macs with no trouble, so, my ethernet card MUST
be good - correct? I am using Apple's 7.5 Network
Access Disk software to make these connections. Could
this be because the 230 has an 030 CPU, and the other
two have an 040? I have been looking every ware for a
solution, but cannot find any info on this set up. Any
help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Stephen
