1. Does anyone know if using an EN/SC adapter affects network speed? i.e. does the EN/SC pass Ethernet packets through the network at a true 10Mb/sec. or does it fall somewhere below that in real use (cause they don't make 'em anymore for SOME reason*). And; 2. Has anyone ever used more than one EN/SC on the same SCSI chain to connect two different Ethernet networks (like a network connection & DSL) to the same Mac? Could this work? *Is it because the new standard is 100Mbs which PCI based computers can handle (and Nubus is history)? Because my 6500 only has 2 PCI slots and 1 comm slot. If I needed to add another Ethernet card to my 6500, I might choose SCSI to keep from having to tie up another PCI slot, particularly if it were for DSL which only runs at 10MbT. Any chance we'll see USB or Firewire Ethernet adapters now that these bus speeds can keep up with 100Mbs? ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
