If dissassembling means that you took out the logic board, took off the processor and
the power supply board, and had disconnected all power supplies including the internal
battery, and still no sign of life when you put it back together then, in my
experience, you have a faulty processor board or logic board.
If you know someone with another 2400 and you know how to take the 2400 into pieces,
you may want to exchange the processors or the logic boards and see if your baby
starts up that way.
Mauybe other people have other opinion, that's what was my story (my problem was a
faulty Newertech G3 processor upgrade card - I had the exact same symptoms, when I put
the original processor back, it worked fine, I put the G3 back, it was dead as a
doornail.)
