I have one Dock that exhibits similar symptoms. I thought it might be the
motor for the loading mechanism so I got another motor and put it in. That
didn't help. I think it is a motherboard problem. I just have to insert and
remove the Duo manually, and that works OK.
If you want to try changing the motor, I have one I'll sell for $10.
