I would like to run the comet on a 17 inch screen, but unsure on how many colors I'll get. 800x600 = thousands of colors, even on a 17 inch screen? Anyone out there running the comet on a 17 inch screen? >From a review (confusing to me) The PowerBook 2400c doesn't offer a wide range of external display resolutions: thousands of colors at 640 by 480 or 800 by 600 pixels, but only 256 colors at 832 by 624 or 1024 by 768 pixels. On the other hand, a choice of refresh rates means you avoid the problem of flicker. As with the 3400, the 2400c's video circuit supports either single or mirrored display, although mirror mode runs only in 80 by 600 pixels; consequently, the 2400c can drive older 640-by-480-pixel projection panels only with its LCD turned off. ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
