Or, better yet, try a fresh System install with nothing twitchy on top of it, and see how that works. Or a different System version, maybe? Maybe a hard drive problem? That'd explain why you can copy from the Duo (not creating new files), but not to it (trying to create new files on a damaged drive or directory). Do SCSI copies work?
