New question #659464 on Duplicity: https://answers.launchpad.net/duplicity/+question/659464
All backups were done in 16.04. These are the versions: $ lsb_release -a No LSB modules are available. Distributor ID: Ubuntu Description: Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS Release: 16.04 Codename: xenial $ which python; python --version; which duplicity; duplicity --version; which deja-dup; deja-dup --version; which rsync ; rsync --version /usr/bin/python Python 2.7.12 /usr/bin/duplicity duplicity 0.7.06 /usr/bin/deja-dup deja-dup 34.2 /usr/bin/rsync rsync version 3.1.1 protocol version 31 Will I be able to restore these files from a different computer which will have installed the next LTS 17.10? Current system is very old and will have to replace it. Trying to foresee and avoid problems when restoring old backups from newer python3/duplicity/deja-dup versions.
