Follow-up Comment #2, bug #23985 (project duplicity):
This patch works in my case.
(Just to correct initial comment : with unpatched 0.4.12 release, I finally
managed to backup files by giving twice a dummy password ; but I presume that
gnupg was not used during backup because I could restore these files without
giving back this password)
