Follow-up Comment #1, bug #25230 (project duplicity):
Furthermore, situation is the same without the exclude (or rather only
excluding a non-existant file, since duplicity would not let one only include
files without excludes (all files are included by default)
that is, if the filelist containes:
+ **/a
+ **/b
- test/file-that-does-not-exist
still only */a is backed up, neither */b, nor */c
