Thanks for your fast reply! I can confirm that now
"imaps://[email protected]@example.com/home" works as expected. As far as i can
remember this did not work with older versions of duplicity.

Please note that according to RFC 1738 the encoding of such kind of
usernames: "Within the user and password field, any ':', '@', or '/' must be
encoded."
