Hi! I'm using dvbcut 0.5.3 and applied all patches I could find on the mailinglist. After applying those patches, I can now export mpeg-files without dvbcut eating up all my memory (and swap).
While trying to cut a 4,9GB mpeg-file I recorded with mencoder dvb://$station -o $targetfile -of mpeg -mpegopts 'format=3Ddvd' -endpos $length -oac copy -ovc copy from my dvb-c card, I get some weird (and hard to explain) behaviour: When I add a "STOP"-mark somewhere after 1:36:19.??? (from now on called X), it shows up really weird in the left list (see the mark 1:48:20.720 in both screenshots). When I go a few seconds before X and start playing the video, it will play fine even beyond X. But when I then stop the video after X, the video image disappears, the video window is all gray. Now pressing on play causes the playback (and slider) to go back to X, and while I can hear sound, i cannot see anything, the video-window remains gray. So there's something special at/after X. dvbcut doesn't print anything to the console when playing past X, when starting to play after X, nothing. mplayer doesn't complain about the video at position X either. When I try to export the mpeg, I get lots of messages like this: Muxer problem: 01:26:22.361/29 > 01:26:22.322/34 (dts:01:26:22.322/34) s->getbuffree():46544 and then it fails with: str=32 len=9 aulist.size=110 packlist.size=289 dvbcut: src/mpegmuxer.cpp:598: void mpegmuxer::packetizer(int, long long int): Zusicherung »len==0« nicht erfüllt. But I think this is NOT at position X. Is it just my mpeg file, or is there a bug in dvbcut?
