How did that song go? "It's the end of the world and we know it..."

The video window usually goes gray (and the mark looks strange) when the
end of the file is reached. There simply is no picture that could be
displayed at that point.

In your case, there seems to be something wrong, however.

Au contraire. The timestamp 01:26:22.322/34 pretty much coincides with
your point X because dvbcut only counts the frames it wrote. And I know
from the screenshots that you removed ~10 minutes from the video. The
other error may just have been caused by the first one(s).

I think there is something wrong with the input file. And no, thank you,
I got a copy of that game myself (only in DVB-T quality, though).

When you view the original file with mplayer or xine, do you notice any
defects (missing macroblocks or audio frames, "jumping" time codes or
similar) at or around X?

P.S. I removed Gerd Delling and Günter Netzer completely ;)
