Although the resulting binary probably has a > dependency on the dll now. Aha,... with a factor of 20-30 smaller library? Where has all the code gone to...? Nevertheless,... why should we have a dll for libao, when all the other libs (mad,a52,mpeg2,libacformat/codec) are statically linked (under windows)? I don't expect that any other Application would make use of it. The dll would reside in the DVBcut directory anyhow... ;-) > > > Anyhow,... Yes, you are right... that was it! :-)) One should give that important remark also in the README! The funny thing is, that the DVBcut binary still was linked against some dll as long as this libao.dll.a was also installed under /usr/local/lib. I saw it immediately since the binary was about 500k smaller... ;-) And on execution DVBcut asked then for a libao-2.dll... no idea where that should be! Anyhow,... I had to delete libao.dll.a first to get DVBcut statically linked again... but now against the one from the official libao v0.8.8! :) I attached an updated README.mingw... ciao ralph _______________________________________________________________ SMS schreiben mit WEB.DE FreeMail - einfach, schnell und kostenguenstig.
