I didn't change it yet. But I have a separate prototype for a multi-file
source that seems to work well. I'm going to test it this weekend.

Don't hold your breath, though. There are other things to change as
well. The project file format allows only a single file, for example.
Playing multi-file streams with mplayer also is an issue. I don't know
what happens when it reaches the end of the first input file.

Not sure. The problem with VOBs is that they can contain multiple
streams, each with its own series of timestamps (beginning at
0:00:00.000). That might confuse dvbcut a little.

Well, once MFI (multi-file input) is ready, we can test if it works with
VOBs as well.

Ouch. I think dvbcut's indexer doesn't handle that at all.

Nor with DVD material, usually. But that obviously doesn't mean that it
never happens, and MPEG-2 explicitly allows it. You can even mix frames
(progressive) and fields (interlaced) in a sequence, unless it's
declared to be progressive only.
