I just installed xemacs 21.4 on my Debian system and it seems to compile okay. There are a lot of errors like: --8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8--- Error loading /home/toby/Projects/dvc/work/lisp/baz-dvc.el: (error The `shift' modifier may not be applied to ASCII keysyms (shift control 105)) --8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8--- but I get .elc files created and it seems to work with a very cursory test. My xemacs is: --8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8--- XEmacs 21.4 (patch 21) "Educational Television" [Lucid] (x86_64-linux-gnu, Mule) of Fri Jan 25 2008 on excelsior --8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8--- Does your xemacs come with the cl library?
