Hi,
you should use dvc differently:
1) Start dvc-bookmarks (C-x V b) and add your project (a)
2) Add a main category (A t) and kill/yank your project there (C-k) (C-c y)
3) Now from there you can do everythings (log, diff, status...) (C-h m)

Did you get this buffer with xgit-revlog-mode ?
If so use M-x dvc-changelog (it will call xgit-log)
