Sounds great. Wouldn't it make sense to have the "virtual button pushing" parts in libdvdnav as well? It seems to me that DVD players like vlc could profit from them and it might also be useful for dvdbackup whose main-feature detection is supposedly somewhat lacking (I haven't tested it, though).
