-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 A few days back i posted a question stating that i had successfully recorded on 1x DVD-Rs at 2x speed. I now see that this is inaccurate.
While i was giving dvdrecord the "speed=2" command, i failed to notice that was actually falling back to 1x during the burn. Does anyone here know why this is? My burner is supposed to support 4x and below. Below is the output of dvdrecord: thanks, /KRM bash-2.05a# dvdrecord -v speed=1 dev=/dev/sg1 -dao /XFS/rb3.raw dvdrtools - based on: Cdrecord 1.11a15 (i686-pc-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1995-2001 Jrg Schilling TOC Type: 1 = CD-ROM scsidev: '/dev/sg1' devname: '/dev/sg1' scsibus: -2 target: -2 lun: -2 Linux sg driver version: 3.1.24 Using libscg version 'schily-0.5' atapi: 1 Device type : Removable CD-ROM Version : 2 Response Format: 2 Capabilities : Vendor_info : 'PIONEER ' Identifikation : 'DVD-RW DVR-105 ' Revision : '1.00' Device seems to be: Generic mmc2 DVD.
