New version of dvd+rw-tools is on-line at usual location,
http://fy.chalmers.se/~appro/linux/DVD+RW/.

Note that as of now I advice users to turn to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
on support matters. Subscribe page is at
http://lists.debian.org/cdwrite/, archive - at
http://www.mail-archive.com/cdwrite%40other.debian.org/ (unfortunately
down for this particular moment).

Most notably new version:

- adds support for Linux 2>=5 (do observe that an interim kernel patch
is required for kernels prior upcoming 2.5.71, search for "interim" on
the page; also note that even though the patch is applicable to e.g.
.69-ac, it's not sufficient to get it working with -ac branch);

- adds support for Solaris 2.x (as for this moment verified to work with
DVD+RW only);

- explicitly instructs DVD-[minus] units(*) to perform OPC (should
improve recording strategies applied to no-name media?);

- implements 'growisofs -M /dev/dvd=/dev/zero' to fill the media up to
improve DVD-ROM/-Video compatibility (even works around 4GB i-node
wrap-around issue, see
http://fy.chalmers.se/~appro/linux/DVD+RW/#compat, 3rd paragraph for
details);

A.

(*) Note that I don't have DVD-[minus] capable unit for myself and would
like to thank Grégoire Favre and Ulrich Mensfeld for standing up as
beta-testers this time.
