I have dvdtools 0.1.5 compiled and working but I have a question about the ide-scsi interface. I easily able to set "hdc=ide-scsi" at boot time and the kernel acknowledged. dvdrecord finds my Sony DRU-510A and records. But now the device is not available as /dev/hdc and other programs that use the ide interface wont work, like mplayer, which worked fine before. Does this mean I have to boot back and forth or can this be done without rebooting? TIA Tuck
