This could also cut down on the number of communities that have to be created
specifically for the purpose of selling goods, if people could tag items with
interests. For instance, there's at least one and possibly more communities
devoted to advertising steampunk items for sale. If people had a DW classifieds
that was searchable, and possibly even RSS Feed-able based on their interests,
that could be very useful.

Would this get into potentially sticky issues regarding copyright? Most people
who "publish" on LJ, for instance, aren't writing works that are completely
original fiction. How would you fairly vet out what could be published under
the pay-to-read scheme, without having to have a cadre of people researching
whether the work is apropos?

The way in which people can currently drop Etsy slideshows into LJ entries
springs immediately to mind as something that might be useful. As with the
classifieds, it would be good if these could somehow be interest-matched.
