Hi, I'm looking for someone who has professional experience with colocation networking. Specifically, I'm looking for someone who knows the difference between a Juniper and a Cisco, what the difference between layer 2 and layer 3 are, the pros and cons of using rack-level switches or patch panels with a beefy core, etc etc. If you have this experience, please contact me off list so we can discuss DW setup.
Background: Renting virtual servers is a good step for beta and open beta and will enable DW to get off the ground quickly. However, the cost of actually renting servers becomes prohibitive very quickly compared to buying servers and colocating them.
