The question came about what to do with the code that exists in the LJ
code (and now the DW code) that supports advertising. I.e., the
implementation of advertising. Technically, we could keep the code,
even though we aren't going to be doing any advertising ourselves.
This gives other sites that may use the DW code the ability to
advertise on their own site. With this in mind, the decision was made
the other day to keep the code in the codebase and go for it.

A few days have gone by now and I've gotten to thinking more about the
actual maintainability of the system. Since we won't actually be
using or testing this code, it will become more and more of a burden
on our limited development resources. I'd rather spend time or see
people spend time on implementing features DW will use than fix a bug
reported by Foowidth, etc etc.

With that in mind, the policy is now: rip it out. If you see ads
code, you have license to kill, shred, maim, etc. Thanks!
