What I really hate is when that happens to me on my OWN profile
page. I am a member of a lot of prolific communities. They're
locked, and I want to see the content, so I can't leave them, but
they're not on my default view, so I don't watch them. Mostly
they are sales or big-fandom communities (whole-fandom, rather
than just one character or pairing, or just fic, or just icons,
or just meta). So I can't remember what the name of that comm
was, and now, on my profile page, which is where I used to go
when I had enough free time to browse these comms...I can't
effing find it!!! Annoying!

But LJ has always truncated profiles, just not so egregiously as
post-new-profile page. It used to be that you couldn't see the
creation date stuff for the journal unless you got it to full
mode.

Here's the fix for the problem.

At the end of some list (watch, communities, whatever) you'll see
an underlined ellipsis. Click on THAT.

That ellipsis will take you from

http://ataniell93.livejournal.com/profile

to

http://ataniell93.livejournal.com/profile?mode=full

Like ?style=mine and ?format=light, ?mode=full is your friend.
