I'm a G1 user, and I'm not willing to forgive it except in dire
circumstance. I hate and despise google (for the moment, anyways) for
committing this netequitte flubb.

Ways to remove quoted text:
1. Go into the web browser and hit gmail. Switch the email to text
view and remove the quoted text (may also avoid it automatically being
an attachment, too).
2. Use k9 (a free fork of the built-in IMAP mail reader) instead of the
gmail reader; it lets you remove quoted text, and due to a "bugture",
also lets you save drafts and reopen them and edit, copy, or paste
quoted text (you have to remove the funny characters that end up in
the mail then, though; it's definately a merge of bug and feature).
