I know a few of the answers, but not all of 'em. On Tue, Mar 31, 2009 at 12:03 PM, Loriel Eris <[email protected]> wrote:

Hey, Denise, maybe this should get mentioned when an OpenID account validates their e-mail? There's a lot of value in making the initial, I just want to make *one* comment signup process as easy as pie, but I think Loriel's right that the service should give people a pretty easy path into getting more sophisticated. > 3. To see an OpenID user's profile, click on the swirly grey eye w/ orange pupil next to their username [image: [info]]<http://www.dreamwidth.org/userinfo.bml?userid=73&t=I>in the same you'd click on [image: [info]] <http://zvi.dreamwidth.org/profile> the little userhead icon to see a regular user's profile. When you clicked on their username, you should have been taken to the URL they're using as an openid, i.e. http://theirname.livejournal.com/ Were you taken to that URL (it's not DW's fault if they delete their lj) or were you taken to an internal DW page? You might want to follow up on that with domtheknight (she gets bug reports.) > 4. Confusing two separate issues. Paul was talking about renaming (like you'd buy a rename token for on LJ). Having your DW account claim your OpenID account is a functionality that is planned for Sometime In the Future (possibly after site launch, if I'm reading the bugreports correctly.) At open beta, there will not be a connection between your OpenID account and your personal Dreamwidth account.
