Can we please call a hiatus on this discussion for now? I think that most thigns that can be said about this have been said by this point, and it mostly seems to be the same points being reiterated. I don't want anyone to feel like I'm trying to censor them, because I'm not! I'm just worried that with all the volume that we have had and are continuing to have on this issue, we're drowning out any other possible discussions on this list, and possibly also driving away people who just don't want to deal with this volume of email. So what I'm asking for (and it is just asking) is that we all just take a break from discussing this at least until Mark or Denise have had a chance to read over this thread and state some sort of an official position. Once they say what general approach they're planning to take, then we can concentrate on any minutiae of exactly how it should be implemented.
