The desktop metaphor sucks. Have you heard about the »BumpTop > Desktop«? That is the worst crap I've seen for years. It's incredible that people really believe that a computer interface is better if it aims the rudimentary ways of managing real life (e.g. writing with a pen instead of being able to type with 10 fingers vs. 1 pen...) If Apple or MS will release such bumpy 3d desktop, it is the same as doing as root /dev/sda < /dev/random... (Actually if they can't keep their desktop tidy in real life, they won't being able to keep it tidy in the 3d desktop, neither would they in an old-fashioned filesystem keep things well organized - hey, people would even get bored to tidy up their virtual desktop, because it makes life as hard as in reality)... oh dear... > So let's see. I reported it: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141657 I'm excited. Have you checked with xwininfo if that window really hasn't set the transient_for hint? (I hope so) ;) Regards, -- Anselm R.
