I tried that too, and it doesn't show any "blobs" as well, so everything seems to work fine here too (apart from not being able to resize windows etc.), and/ but the above mentioned flicker appears here as well. I'm not sure, but I think I remember xmonad showing dwm's behaviour too, ie. showing undesired greyish windows. Unfortunately, I'm currently busy recompiling GHC-6.6 (for the next few hours ...), so I cannot give you a definitive answer on xmonad, but I'll recheck that as soon as possible. Regards, Sebastian
