http://www.suckless.org/pipermail/dwm/2007-August/003088.html I even implemented it with slave windows like arg suggested, but as I didn't want to maintain the code (it really needed a rewrite) I deleted it. As I tell in the mail message some of the ideas could be applicable to dwm. For example, bwm let you turn tiled clients into float ones moving them long before dwm. And in my personal case the possibility of controlling your windows using only the mouse is a must have (all of you who have a rest looking at stupid web pages and chatting while you smoke a cigarette know what I'm talking about). What I didn't like very much was the layers concept, but anyway I don't like the tagging approach and I don't like virtual desktops. ATM I'm using almost main dwm and it looks like the suckless solution for me. But when I have some time I will do some new experiments. C U -- - yiyus || JGL .
