What does that mean? Now, it is possible that the status text area might grow/shrink depending on the bunch of data being read. For instance if you echo -n bla a couple of times, the status text area will grow until newline is read, like Sanders sample behaves in the yesterday thread. But in my mind that is no flicker at all.
