I stole your netmon script and tried to do the same instead with Unicode
glyphs instead of dzen icons. I don't care about colours.
Unfortunately the terminus font doesn't seem to show the Unicode glyph
correctly on the menu bar:

The glyph correctly displays in my terminus terminal though (??).
The workaround is to use the 'fixed font', but as you can see from the
screenshot, 'fixed' looks really ugly.
