[dwm] What am I doing wrong with displaying utf-8 string?

Hi,

there seems to be some inconsistent utf-8 handling id dwm's and dmenu's
text render code.

Problems illustrated below:

And as you can see on:

http://theka.tk/fuckup-1.png

text gets returned by dmenu correctly (which probably isn't much
relevant, anyway).
