Nope, there is no safe, quick and easy way to remedy that. It's a really big pain in the tuchis. When I worked in an electronics repair shop, we'd get remotes and occasional Walkmans in that had soda spilled in/on them. I had to take them completely apart and clean it out with a Q-tip and alcohol.
