Hi,

Anyone know Vlad well enough to encourage him to use LOTW for his dx-peditions?

Hi friends!

I remember that in 2002 Vlad was in Central America and worked from a lot of ''entities there, and he said it was OK to QSL either direct to his homecall in Russia OR to his AC4LN address, but the US-address should take longer time as he picks up the mail when he is in USA. I sent my cards to the AC4LN address and got reply in spring 2003, those postmarked in Russia. He is not only a good operator but a good QSL'er. However, I don't know about bureau cards as the cost for that service in Russia has gone up very high recently. Maybe we shall try to convince as many DX'ers we know to use LoTW. I had a QSO from last night confirmed via LoTW today, 9V1GO on 160 meters, and Singapore is rare here in Europe on Top Band.

Hi Dave and others,

I was just about to ask this very question.  I know he told me that I could use his AC4LN address but that it "would be slow."  I have not been able to get another email from Vlad. He answered me the one time but I did not get an answer about logs and subsequent emails not answered.

I have worked him in several places for a new band-country or new on CW and would love to have the answer to your question - if you get it privately please let me know or post the answer.

Thanks,
