Based on IRC's I have received (several hundred), the post offices use a standard cancellation stamp showing their post office and date. For both old and new IRC's, they are stamped on the left side of the coupon. The new coupon does not have a place to stamp the price of the IRC. The old coupon had a center box for the price which was stamped in local currency (yen, dollars, etc.), but only about half of the IRC's were actually stamped with the price. I hope this helps.
