It sounds like you're looking at the Capture window, which is optimized for
logging QSOs in real-time.

To log old QSOs

1. Open the Config window's General tab, and uncheck the Option panel's
"Optimize for realtime QSO entry" box

2. use the Main window's "Log QSOs" tab to record the QSO

A. click the New button to create a new QSO

B. type in the callsign, frequency or band, mode, date and time, etc.

C. click New to save that QSO and create a new QSO

D. go to B

When you're done entering a batch of QSOs, click Log instead of New in step
C.

With the "Optimize for realtime QSO entry" unchecked, clicking the New
button
-- populates the new QSO's "begin date-and-time" to the "end date-and-time"
of the previous manually-entered QSO incremented by 1 second
-- populates the new QSO's frequency, band, and mode with those of the
previous manually-entered QSO

There are shortcut keys for rapidly moving between a QSO's items without
lifting your hands from the keyboard:

You can also quickly accomplish things by double-clicking, as described in

http://www.dxlabsuite.com/dxkeeper/Help/Doubleclick.htm

For example, double-clicking an RST field sets its value to 59 or 599 as
function of the mode.

For more details, see the "Logging a QSO using the Main window's Log QSOs
tab" section of

http://www.dxlabsuite.com/dxkeeper/Help/Log.htm

(or click one of DXKeeper's Help buttons and navigate to these topics via
the online help index; the online help is stored on your PC, so you need not
be connected to the internet).

You may also find "Getting Started with DXLab" to be useful; here's a link
to "Getting Started with Logging":

If you have additional questions, please post them on the DXLab group:

as I monitor it more closely than I do this mailing list.

Subject: [DX-CHAT] dxkeeper

I downloaded dxkeeper. My question is how do I add old QSO\s from my paper
logs? I see everything I need except the place to add the date of a long
past qso.
