I just had a strange experience. A QSL card that I sent G3XAQ in 2003 via the bureau for a contact on 40M CW on 4/13/03 was returned to me via the US Postal Service. It was outside the original bureau envelope it was sent in, and did not have an address or stamp on it for that reason.
It has a PO cancellation in the area where the stamp would normally be, and was cancelled in New York, NY. The cancellation is currerent (Jan 2008). It has marks and crimps on it that indicate there was a processing problem somewhere along the way.
