The Rochester DX Association will be operating as
W2RDX/60 this weekend to celebrate the end of our 60th
anniversary year. We will be operating on all bands
and modes from 1200z May 24 until approximately 0200z
May 25, and then starting again at 1200z May 25 until
0200z May 26.
At the beginning of our 60th year in June 2007,
W2RDX/60 was activated from the Antique Wireless
Museum in Bloomfield, NY, and used gear that was
reflective of what was common 60 years ago when the
club was founded. For the closing of our 60th year,
we will be operating with equipment from the current
era (and beyond?) from the multi-multi contest station
of W2FU. We will be LOUD on all bands!
Hope to see many DXers in there making the special
event something to remember, and if there are any
former (or founding) RDXA members reading this, I hope
we will hear from you this weekend to help celebrate
our 60th year.
