Subject: Re: [DX-News] Fw: TO4E
I'm having a lot of trouble understanding what all
of the whining and moaning regardingTO4E is about. Lets cut to the
chase.
1) These people are there at their own expense and on
their own time. 2) They are there, working the best way they can
under the circumstances. 3) They aren't obligated to operate on your
schedule. 4) They went over there and put the entity on the air. The
rest is up to you. 5) If you can't cut it, that's just the way
it goes. 6) If you think this operation is being handled
improperly , turn your rig off and start raising the money to mount your
own expedition. I understand that it
takes a minimum of $100,000.00 to get one of these shows off the ground,
so get cracking.
I'm certainly not a
Big Gun. I run four 811A's into a 15 year old Cushcraft A3. Until two
weeks ago, and for 10 years prior to that, I ran only 100 watts to that same
old Cushcraft. I made the honor Roll with that 100 watts and brought my total
to 331. Yesterday it took me about 15 minutes to work this expedition on 10
meter CW. However, I have stayed in pile-ups for hours and hours to work
a new one, and many more hours trying to figure out where they were and when
they would be on. When I started chasing DX there were no Clusters where
I could complain. I got a newsletter once a week, and the rest was up to
me. Now it's your turn.
