Subject: [ODXG] Lord Howe Island Update

After weeks of preparation all equipment was delivered to the boat last
Thursday. It will be stored on the island awaiting our arrival on Oct 9.
Operators include : IV3FSG & VK2IVK (yls), G3UML, IK6CAC, VK3SU, VK4NEF &
VK4FW.

As there will be two dxpeditions in the Pacific at the same time we are
adopting the following transmit frequencies :

CW SSB RTTY
1.812
3.512 3.785
7.012 7.045 7.080
10.107 10.120
14.012 14.260 14.090
18.072 18.140 18.100
21.012 21.260 21.090
24.912 24.950
28.012 28.495
50.100 ** 50.100 **

**A Yaesu FT 857 with beacon will cycle on this frequency giving everyone a
chance to call.

As we arrive on the island late in the afternoon we will have very little
daylight time to install antennae however it is our full intention to have
one of the multiband verticals installed and on air quickly followed by a
low band vertical for 40m.

We are still chasing another operator to compliment the above crew.
