Silvano Amenta, KB5GL, pilot station for the current operation from
Hereheretue (OC-052), reports the latest information from the team on the
island:
"I just talked with Nando FO/IT9YRE at 16.20 GMT in 21260 MHZ, his signal was
55. The group landed yesterday late afternoon with the help of the militar
people working on the meteorologic station. They have a tend on the beach,
the weather is good, the temperature in Hereheretue Island this morning is 27
dg centigrade, wind calm. So far FO/IT9YRE, FO/I1SNW and FO/IT9EJW have about
2000 qso in the log. The QRT will be tomorrow September, 23 at 08.00 GMT".
