QST... to all Radio Amateurs:
1. VU4RBI and VU4NRO are the only calls currently authorized for use on Andaman Island. Both stations are in the town of Port Blair on Andaman Island, AS-001. This prefix also counts for Nichobar Islands. The path bearing is nearly the same as Thailand or Burma. Try short and long path for every opening.
2. The operators are very well aware of the need for many band/mode contacts, but want to serve those seeking "first time contact" with VU4 first.
3. The contact email address is [EMAIL PROTECTED] Get QSL info via this address.
4. Their first night of operation was around 14.2 and the opening was to the USA primarily at first. IF you see spots for their transmit freq around 14.140 SSB, believe these spots, also.
5. When Bharathi is transmitting, she counts for VU4, for AS-001, and for YL DX.... a triple threat!
