Hello all DXers...
Here in Thailand, VU4 is occasionally in like a local so I have monitored the operations for some time.
I know what is ok and what is wrong with the operation practices, as do the many listeners/callers. I should arrive on Andaman Dec. 14 and will carry all advice on op practices and propagation openings to the team.
Issues they are coping with: -training new operators. -unusual odd noise QRM on the planned (and announced) op frequencies.
It is vy frustrating to announce an intended operation frequency only to arrive there on time and have some weird and loud signal/noise/hetrodyne/other QSO/ etc. already on that frequency. That happens to me vy often in HS land and makes for frustration. There is VY MUCH more odd noises in SE Asia than every heard in USA.
Hope to listen to all of you over an operator's shoulder while I am on Andaman. 73,
Charles Harpole [EMAIL PROTECTED]
