Hi Bill,another tough night.Still no NA on 80 or 160.Had a big thunder storm last night for about 6 hours,rained like hell.Very tough on 80 meters,CB'ers all over the band plus all kinds of crud and constant qrn.Very hard to find a hole that stays clear for more than a few minutes so I have to move around alot on 80 meters just to try and copy anyone.Europe is very weak as are most stations.I think the crud is overloading the Icom 736 so have been putting attenuation in to make it happy.I am using an inverted V on 80.Using an inverted L on 160.Have an inverted V now for 40 too.Also have a low full length dipole for 160 rx and and inverted V for 160 for tx/rx.Amp is doing abt 500 watts.Still hoping for condx to break before I do!I am on all night here and sleep during the day.I am alternating between 80 and 160 every 15 minutes or so trying to catch an opening to somewhere.3509 plus or minus and 1821.8 are the freqs I have been using plus or minus the band crud.Attached is the log info up till now if the PC will allow it today.Tnx and please pass this info on and I apologize for all the repeats I am asking for but condx are very difficult here so far.
