I received a call from Mrs. Vance LePierre and she has asked me to pass along her thanks for the sympathy cards received. While operating as E30GA, he made the only Satellite contact ever made from Eritrea. He held the following call signs and operated from various locations: HL9UB, VP2EEU, VP2MBU, DL4BW, DL4IJ, DL4LV, E30FA, W5IJU/KP1, /6Y5, CY9, CY9A, and KG4VL.
