Well, I learned something today. You don't have to be an American Citizen to be drafted into the army, at least back in the days of World War II and Korea.

One thing about the Korean draft that was unfair was that if you were smart enough to be able to stay in school your possible draft was deferred. My initial graduation date was set for 1955 and I got "stupid" and flunked out. That was February 1953 and by the beginning of the summer I learned "humility" at the same time the Korean conflict ended. Then everyone volunteered for the draft (to be eligible for the G.I. Bill). Those in my original class of 1955 who made it never got drafted!

Am I bitter? No! The army made me a radio operator, became interested in Amateur Radio (including DXing). I then switched majors from Mechical Engineering to Electrical Engineering and finally graduated in 1959 (from Clarkson).

Looks like 3Y0X is going to go. Hope you all work them. I'll be on a South America cruise next week and can only think about them!
